Who we are
We are an organization of serious independent wine producers, many of whom come from family vineyards that have been making wines for generations, who are dedicated to producing quality wines at good prices.
The concept of this project arose as a result of many years experience in the wine industry by recognizing the multiple points of unnecessary friction during both the export and import processes. Pierre Franc de Ferrière is a French wine winemaker (www.chateau-carbonneau.com) with many connections with producers from all the main regions of France.
A french american partnership
Sheena is the American importer for Vine Direct. She spent over a decade working in finance at Wells Fargo and JP Morgan before joining Pierre on the project. They now spend their time between the family vineyard in Bordeaux and the U.S. developing the business for many years to come.
Pierre and Sheena have a centralized warehouse on their property in Bordeaux where they gather all wines and prepare orders. The Vine Direct team manages and is responsible for all of the logistics to get the wines from the producer to the end-client.
OUR GOAL
The Three Tier system increases the price of French wines by at least four times from the producer to the American consumer. This setup makes it very difficult to bring good quality wines into the country at attractive prices.
That is where we come in. At Vine Direct we are uniquely positioned to identify great value, family-owned French wines given the nature of our French-American partnership. Our long-standing relationships with family-owned vineyards in France, of which we are one of them in Bordeaux, combined with our streamlined import process make our portfolio of wines more accessible.

Our primary purpose is to create the most direct link possible between the French wine producer and the American consumer. We streamline the import process by removing unnecessary third parties, allowing us to offer great prices for the quality. This enables us to find the best distribution partners possible in each market, who we offer our selection to on an exclusive basis.
