OUR WINE PRODUCERS

BEAUJOLAIS

gilles gelin

In 1976, my father, Gérard Gelin, son and grandson of winemakers, bought the "Clos des Nugues". From there comes the name of the Domaine. In 2000, I joined my parents to continue the development of the

Estate.

At the Domaine, grapes are harvested by hand in order to have the healthiest fruits as possible before starting the wine making process.

Rosés and whites are made in direct pressing with a low temperature vinification.

For reds, skin macerations can last from 6 to 25 days depending on the desired wine.

Temperatures and densities of our vats are followed daily with at least one daily tasting of each cuvée.

CÔTES DE BORDEAUX

chateau carbonneau

The family vineyard is located to the east of the Bordeaux wine region, about 25 minutes from Saint-Emilion. Wines of the Franc de Ferriere family originate from a unique area on the hills of the Dordogne river, giving the appellation all of its originality and grace.

Cultivating mainly Merlot and Cabernet varietals, Wilfrid and his team do their utmost to produce quality wines reflecting the potential of our terroir.

Our philosophy and practices are constantly evolving in order to produce wines that are unique, elegant and full of flavours.

chateau maison neuve

Château Maison Neuve is located near Blaye in the Côtes de Bordeaux vineyards north of Bordeaux, across the river from Médoc.

Alexia Eymas is the winemaker for this property of 40 hectares – a familial property that has passed from mother to daughter for four generations.  Alexia farms with respect for the environment, in harmony with the climate and soils. Her aim is to bring her wines to an optimum quality and thus give her wines have all the advantage of a real identity.

Vignobles fontana

Founded in 1950, Fontana family vineyards are today managed by Mr Fontana’s four sons. The vineyards are situated on the hills of Gensac with Southern exposure.

The soil is composed of limestone and clay  up to 110 meters above sea level and the sunshine gives the grapes great exposure resulting in ripe flavored fruit, typical of great Bordeaux.

Bernard Fontana and his brothers Jean-Claude and Bruno have all taken an active part in the management of the family business. Over the years loyal to their goal of producing quality Bordeaux with respect to the tradition and technological innovation, their vineyards have been producing many award winning wines.

SAINT EMILION

chateau
la rose vircoulon

The Vircoulon vineyards have been in the same family for 4 generations. In 2005, the family acquired a new château in Saint Emilion. Located in the commune of Saint Hyppolyte, right at the door of Saint Emilion, Pierre produces Saint Emilion Grand Cru wines.

Château La Rose Vircoulon is a small vineyard of 4,44 hectares planted with 70% merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc.

We are very attached to traditional methods of treating our vines, not only in the way we cultivate the soil but also everything regarding the vineyard maintenance.

Every technique we use helps us bring the grapes to its highest potential, which is our priority in order to produce the best wine as possible.

LANGUEDOC

henri de Richemer

In the heart of the Languedoc, bordering the Thau Basin and the Mediterranean Sea, Les Caves Richemer resulted from the merger of the Agde and Marseillan (Hérault) cooperative wine cellars. Since 1937, we’ve been located on the Marseillan port with a beautiful view overlooking the boats.

The name Richemer refers to a legend from the 19th century when Henri Richet, a winemaker from Marseillan, made a fortune in selling wine thanks to the sea-faring trade.

Bringing together 350 winemakers for a total of 1500 ha of vineyards, we continue to be considered the largest Thau Basin port, known for its white wines which pair perfectly with oysters and its rosé wines, ideal for sipping outside on a terrace. The excellent and locally-representative grape varieties of Terret Blanc, Piquepoul Blanc and Marselan, are our specialties.

LOIRE

Domaine clo

The Domaine Clo is located in the Saumur area and consists of multiple small plots spread out along some of the Loire’s most prestigious appellations such as Saumur, Saumur Puy Notre Dame, Anjou, Coteaux du Layon and more. This large variety of Appellations allows Cyril to work with many different soils, climats and grapes. Although the main varietals are Chenin and Cabernet Franc, he also uses Chardonnay, Gamay, and Grolleau.

The vineyard has been in the Leau family for 100 years and Cyril, the current owner and winemaker, has converted his production to organic in 2017.

PROVENCE

château camp long

Since 1848...

... Eight generations of this family have owned and operated this vineyard.

Today, Geneviève and Patrick Gualtieri and their daughters, Aurore, Diane and Marion, are continuing the family tradition with the same love of the land and of Provence.

In the heart of the Maures forest, in the village of La Londe, in the valley which surrounds the 700  hectares of the estate, resides the vineyard extending over 80 hectares, planted on south facing hillsides  with a schistous soil.

In order to produce exceptional, healthy grapes, the vineyard practices sustainable agriculture. Each step is taken in  harmony with nature without the use of chemicals.

Specialized in rosé wine making, we are dedicated to making a fruity and pale rosé with fine aromas and freshness.

RHÔNE

CÔTES DU RhÔNE

le grand valmal

We represent three generations of wine estate owners  in the south of France. Our soil is mostly sand-clay, mixed with old river stones from the Ice-age, often mixed with eroded soil coming from the garrigue covered hills.

This region benefits from the largest number of sunshine hours in France, important for the aroma development, photosynthesis, and maturing process. The north wind, called « Mistral », blows up to 100 days a year, and keeps the vines clean and healthy. Our aim is for the wine to be an expression of the grape and of the terroir. Our wines are fruit driven, with roundness , some spices, complexity and silky tannins.

SOUTH WEST

CÔTES DE GASCOGNE

domaine horgelus

The Domaine Horgelus was created in 1978 by Joseph Le Menn. Breton by origin, he was attracted by the charm of Southwestern France -  its gastronomy and its art of living. Now, his property  covers 66 hectares of vineyards as well as an additional 30 hectares of woods and meadows.

The estate is run now by Yoan Le  Menn, his son. Yoan represents the younger generation of oenologists who work tirelessly to combine modernity and experience. The biggest task is preserving of the aromas by limiting, as much as possible, all forms of oxidation of the “must” and the wines. For this reason the grapes are harvested early in the morning – from 3am to 11 am – in order to take advantage of the cool air. On the other hand, the carbon dioxide from the alcoholic fermentation is recuperated to protect the newly pressed juice. From the grape to the bottling process, everything is designed to preserve  the fruity flavors and freshness of our wines.

CAHORS

chateau pineraie

Château Pineraie, a vineyard of 50 hectares, is located in Puy-L’Evêque, near Cahors. Six generations of the Burc family have cared for this vineyard. The sisters, Anne and Emmanuelle, the current generation to oversee Château Pineraie, work together to carry on a wonderful family history, always with a strong will to fulfill their commitment to an ever improving quality.

We believe that the diversity of our vineyard’s soils is one of the most significant assets of our wines. Little wonder that Cahors is the cradle of the Malbec grape.
